Hot take and unpopular opinion but I think fans are exaggerating the influence Rodgers will have on Hacketts job security.

If Hackett stays as OC it is because of Woody incompetence, being a poor evaluator of job performance, and giving Hackett (and likely everyone else) an excuse because the starting QB was out for the year.

I think there is likely a level of influence Rodgers has, but it comes in second to Woodys incompetence.

Even the Bears Vikings game with one TD scored is more exciting than the Jets. Insert subreddit mantra but I can’t take this team anymore.

It’s crazy to think how one fucken draft pick has sunk this team for three years. We should have beaten the Jags and went to the playoffs last year but we had to go to a CFL QB who couldn’t throw more than 10 yards because of that pick. And now here we are again with a wasted season with an amazing defense and some talented offensive pieces just standing around. I honestly can’t see this turning around until we get a competent GM/innovative OC/ and an effective future QB for after Rodgers.

So Dobbs is booty, Levis looks pedestrian, Stroud looks great.

This sub was obsessed with all 3 after they put up some decent numbers. Since then, two have come back down to earth, and hard (especially Dobbs).

Decisions aren’t made in vacuums, and things take time. I’m very glad we didn’t give any resources for Dobbs, who is not at all an upgrade over what we have on our roster. Sending a pick for a QB to get 2 good games isn’t worth it at all.

Name an offensive player that would start for a playoff team not names Garret Wilson or Breece Hall. Making it all about Hackett means you severely overrate this bad offense from a talent perspective.

I wonder if all of those people who flooded the board over the summer from Sweden and Australia saying they are coming to their first game actually end up going with how terrible the jets are now.

Just look at every WR core Rodgers has had since 2016. Adams/garrett/scrubs would be the best core rodgers has had since that season, as his best since then have just been Adams and scrubs. And he also would have the best defense he’s had since 2010 even after some regression and if we have to lose huff

Adams alone just changes the view of this offense and makes 2024 come down to 2 things. How well we can plug in the line with our picks and cap, and ofc how good and healthy rodgers is next year.
