  • Even the Bears Vikings game with one TD scored is more exciting than the Jets. Insert subreddit mantra but I can’t take this team anymore.

It’s crazy to think how one fucken draft pick has sunk this team for three years. We should have beaten the Jags and went to the playoffs last year but we had to go to a CFL QB who couldn’t throw more than 10 yards because of that pick. And now here we are again with a wasted season with an amazing defense and some talented offensive pieces just standing around. I honestly can’t see this turning around until we get a competent GM/innovative OC/ and an effective future QB for after Rodgers.

  • I feel like Douglas truly cannot evaluate players and shouldn’t be given another draft cycle for this team. My biggest fear is he will pick another overhyped QB that has no right being in the first round let alone a starter in the NFL.

This year the media darlings will be Penix from Washington and of course Sanders from Colorado. Media and teams will be hyping them up leading to draft day and have glaring flaws.

I think he might go high in the draft, but Daniels from LSU should be someone the Jets look at. He is the quintessential dual threat QB with precision passing and could be the next Lamar. I’d even give a look to Nix or Ewers if they fall far enough in the rounds.

  • Not to be that guy. But every Jets win has been some freak play that went their way with less than a minute left in the game. I give Peyton credit. People were ready to destroy him and he turned around one of the worst offenses in the league. I’m not even a Russ fan but it’s night and day compared to when he came to Denver with no offensive players around him.

The Jets have made it where now I’m wishing we had the Broncos offense. When I thought the Chargers game was bad they always find new lows.

  • This season may be one of the most depressing ones ever as a Jets fan. I haven’t been this let down since Prom night.

However, I think there are silver linings when it comes to this stuff. Rodgers would have definitely made this team exponentially better, but I still think the holes were too big to make a deep run in the playoffs. The injury coming snap 4 instead of week 14 means he didn’t take the usual wear and tear of a season for a 39/40 year old and might be coming in totally fresh for next season.

The other thing is the weird Zach mentoring/evaluating period has now happened and should be over. I think alot of people were worried JD would use Rodgers as an excuse to give him the 5th year or even extend him to a new contract touting it as a discount. I just hope we use our resources to help the team next year and truly find a future QB in the next 2 drafts.

  • How’d I know what the comments would be like before I even opened this thread.

He didn’t draft these players for other teams. If they aren’t on the Jets, then it was a waste of a pick. Meanwhile besides the obvious huge whiff on that list, Moore did what every other player on offense will do. Asked for a trade so he can actually play and not have his big contract opportunity be diminished by being driven into the ground with the worst starting NFL QB in the past 10 years.

  • Here’s a new thought: The offense isn’t great and Zach is statically one of the worst QBs in the past 10 years. Both can be true. He tosses the ball away in critical possessions just like Denver and the Giants but he get gets a pass (no pun intended) because he connects to wide open receivers when the defense goes full prevent. And you wonder why the play calling is conservative.

Edit: But the All 22 showed he went through one progression read for one play. Not like he telegraphed where he was throwing every other one.

  • We lost to a team that benched their highly paid QB that got to a SB for a third round draft pick that threw one good pass. A team that got rid of a HC and GM for an ex player that barely has any managerial experience.

It’s mind boggling that the Jets are the only organization too afraid to make changes to see what will happen. The window is being closed and a good team once again is being wasted for a 2nd year in a row. And they want us to pay 20% more immediately for next seasons tickets with no guarantees for what changes will be made.
