Yup. This idea that he made two rash decisions in two seasons is stupid. Rhule should have been fired after season two and pretty much everyone agreed. The entire league had Carolina down as a team who would be finding a new coach that offseason. Tepper allowed him the chance to have his third season and when it was clear it wasn’t going to be any better, he got canned.

There are plenty of things to say about how bad Tepper is at running a team, but that specific one is just completely false. When I hear an analyst being it up, they instantly lose credibility for me.

The rash decision wasn’t firing Reich. The rash decision was hiring him. The correct decision has been made to right that wrong

I wouldn’t say it was a rash decision as much as it was an attempt course correct.

It’s what Tepper does. He makes a mistake and tries to fix it by going too far in the other direction. He went for the high profile upstart, it failed, so he went for the established and respected vet with an all star staff.

This time, he will almost definitely go the top coordinator route because he’s already tried the other two approaches.

This exactly. You can’t put the Reich firing and Rhule firing in the same bucket.

Rhule is objectively a fucking moron and Tepper gave him more than enough time. Reich is clearly not capable of scheming for his players. Tepper isn’t a football genius but anybody on this subreddit could probably amp up the players and present themselves in a more effective way on and off the field than Reich ever did.

Mid seasons firings aren’t great, but in any other industry, you don’t get to fail 91% of the time and keep your job worth millions per year. You get your ass fired and then someone else more capable comes in. That’s how it works. Fitts gone after we confirm the players we got in the offseason are shitty with a different scheme and new guy at the helm.
