There’s been 13 times in the last two years where a team was tied at the end of the 4th with <30 seconds left, and in 0/13 times did that team achieve something by trying to play rather than kneeling.

In 2/13, they turned it over (the nightmare)

In 4/13, they tried tossing passes that went nowhere and ended up in OT anyway

In 7/13 they kneeled it out like the Bills

McDermott is like the by the books accountant, Josh Allen is the wild “no risk equals no reward”, gambler. This time the accountant won and we lost.

dude literally said “…that’s the life we live”.

    Take some fucking accountability, bud.

“Aw, yeah, ya’kno what’cha gunna do? Lololol”

He’s losing his team’s (and our) respect game after game. No one else left for him to sacrifice.

Because he threw that pick before the half against Denver now McD is terrified.

Like when Cook fumbles the ball and then gets benched for the first half. Clappy always benches players for mistakes and I just thought it was his coaching style but now it just seems like insecurity

Having built and sold businesses a couple times, the people that get you to let’s say level 3 (of 10) are usually not the same people that can get you to level 8 or beyond. Sometimes this works but usually not. McDermott did a great job reviving this inept team and culture and stabilizing things. But he’s not the guy that can get us to the top. I firmly believe this now. As the “CEO” of the bills, the team will ultimately take on the personality of the coach. McDermott is just limited by his intelligence and (lack of) creativity. If he doesn’t have a script to follow he falls apart. Can’t adapt in the moment, which is unfortunately key.

And dear god his pressers are the most infuriating waste of time and energy and I can’t handle another cliche about complimentary football or “that’s on me”….

Just gotta let it go and look forward to KC. No sense in picking it to death. Why couldnt Cook catch and easy TD. Why couldnt sherfield run the right route for a TD. Why didnt Bass hot at least one of two missed fgs, why couldnt Josh and Gabe connect for and open TD. Had they turned the ball over with 20 seconds and the eagles kick the fg to end the game everyone would be saying why the fuck didnt he just take the knee and go into OT when the weather is terrible. Its an L, we cant change it. Youll feel better when we embarrass KC and beat the cowboys in a few weeks. You wont even care about this game

Hard to fathom how they were legitimately faced with the same situation (minus weather) and he doesn’t try at least with the offense balling out… Big Game Gabe showing up, Diggs being Diggs, Kincaid out there, Shakir always a threat as we saw last week, and Joe Brady calling plays akin to how we saw Daboll call plays. What else could you ask for?

Josh was playing what I call “Joshua Fucking Allen” football on Sunday where he will find a way to get his guys in a spot to win and did multiple times. With Josh playing in that mode, not giving him a chance was absolutely sickening to see.

If that was Andy Reid, Pat is slinging that fuckin ball to at least try to move the ball for a FG. Worst part is it probably wouldn’t have been very hard to move the ball bc Eagles would’ve likely been playing back in prevent so we basically were guaranteed to move the ball at least twice—whether it would’ve been into Bass range (also ppl gotta get off Bass he’s not that bad give him and me a fuckin break) who knows but fuck, ya gotta try.

Either it’s in your instinct to coach like that or it’s not and the inconsistency here is weird at best. You wanna push for a win against the Lions when you’re in the drivers seat in the division and doing well in the conference overall but in the middle of a struggle year you wanna play conservatively? Like what???

I’d say idk what the fuck that was but I know exactly what it was and it was McD fucking chokes in big games. Dude curls up in a ball and watches his team play through the cracks of his fingers while his hands cover his face. Buddy just hopes for the best.

Sick of it, get him outta there. If this was a once in a while thing where he dicks the Bills in big games then you could chalk it up to shit happens but it’s happened so much that it’s not a coincidence.

If this shits happening during the regular season, as we’ve seen it happen in the playoffs too, imagine if the Bills finally got to the SB with him at the wheel. I’d be scared to even watch.

20 seconds = 3 plays. Man, it would of been an awesome finish. What I notice is that so many big games come down one play or catch. We have been on the wrong side. Fortune favors the bold

The Jags did the same thing…with Blake Bortels. The final two possessions showed me the level of trust he has in Josh Allen. That to me is unacceptable.

The issue with all the analytics bs, is that the same “analytics” apply to Mac Jones the same as they do to Josh Allen. Analytics don’t account for the specific players, injuries, weather, etc. McDermott from what I can see is not someone who budges from his ways. I personally don’t think Terry will fire Sean yet, they will bring in a DC but this won’t change the how McDermott makes his decisions.

Easier play would have been to go for 2. No reason to ever give the ball back with less than 4+ point lead.

Every team can reliably hit field goals from 55+, most from 60+. Not getting a 4+ lead is the same as playing for a tie/loss.

Only if you fail the 2 pt conversion. Which would yield the exact same result anyway.
