No I don’t. Even if we didn’t have any injuries on defense, the fact that he is both HC and DC doesn’t address that he doesn’t call the right defensive schemes when the game is on the line.
He let “13 Seconds” happen to us all over again. Apparently he never learned from his mistake that potentially cost us a Super Bowl.
McDermott and Gabe Davis need to be shown the door. This franchise cannot handle another McDermott loss like this. And the game could have been won but for another Gabe Davis miscommunication.
Honestly so many Bills fans here on Reddit seem complacent with McDermott and that if we get rid of him it could be worse. You’re absolutely right, the goal is winning the Super Bowl and we shouldn’t be content with an annual participation ticket to the playoffs because we had a 20 year playoff draught. The Eagles gave Andy Reid the boot because he couldn’t win them a Super Bowl. Reid ended up being successful elsewhere. I wish all the best for McDermott but he’s clearly not the right coach to bring us to and win a Super Bowl.
Yes, our defensive minded head coach is wasting away the best years of a generational talent at QB. Fans are finally coming around to the fact that McDermott doesn’t learn from his own past mistakes and has hit his ceiling as a coach. It’s holding this team back. He is at a dead end now with no more scapegoats left. Although I’m just not sure if Kim and Terry Pegula have what it takes to fire him at the end of the season, if not sooner (i.e., when our playoff chances are near zero). My fear is that they keep him around until the end of his contract and we’ll be subjected to this madness for many years to come.
Thanks!
lol very likely!
Game used jersey equipment.
Now do playoff winning percentage
Awesome, let’s hang the banner.
Can we get a weekly post like this that shows rooting interest for best Bills’ draft pick position?
The McDermott apologists need to knock it off. The fans and team deserves better than mediocrity.
McDermott has really channeled his inner Doug Marrone this year. It like he thinks he has Thad Lewis at QB.
Moral victories. Yay!
Looks like the coaching staff picks “favorites” based on if they are a culture fit and not actual skill and how they are playing (e.g., Grape Davis). Your players aren’t going to “trust the process” when the coaching staff picks their culture favorites over players who are out performing them (Shakir > Davis).
Throw in the number of games where your coaching staff has lost the game for you (Hail Murray, 13 seconds, 12 men of the field) and you have a roster of players who have lost belief that their coaching staff can take them to the promised land.
Should be a get right or get fired game for Dorsey.
Two questions for the Bengals fans. Do you think Burrow is 100% now? What was different last week that got the ground game working for the Bengals?
