Just wanted to see what the general consensus is, there are arguments for both sides on whether or not supports should dps or not but my question is, is it a reportable offense and should people be punished for playing the game a certain way?

I mean, not really. In most unranked to Gms on supports like Bap, Illari, Moira, etc the supports are primarily DPSing and only healing when teemates are at risk of dying. That’s how they carry games. Sure, sometimes they’re not very good at it, but it’s not the playstyle that’s bad, THEYRE bad. And you can’t report them for sucking.
I dont think it is but imo if a support has like no healing its gameplay sabotage (but I am talking about like >1000 healing in a full comp game here).
I was kiriko with about 7k dmg and 4k heals and one of my dps said to report me, so i was just curious what the general consensus was on. This was a qp match.
Classic dps with ego hurted, sometimes i end with almost the same heal as the other sups but more kills and damage than my dps because i am doing what he should be doing, killing the enemy sup or at least distracting them, or helping me to kill them, yes i am a moira tiktok dps, but only because i hate to see the haha lets keep punching the reinhardt while he receive more healing than damage. Kills help more than great amounts of healing, never forget this
If you get matched with a Support that only does DPS it means you suck as much in your role as he does. Only way to escape that is to get better.
Y’all have gotten carried away with report system lol. Just play the game and stop being nubs who can’t handle a lose. Shit happens just move on to next game. People are going to have bad games and may not play as well at times.
If you feel a report is needed because someone had a bad game or is not doing exactly what you want them to is well sad.

No. Supports must DPS to be effective. To suggest otherwise is low-level mentality. Those people just want healbots to paper over their poor play.
