I am very happy with this team, don’t get me wrong. I love that our offense is the best in the league and many of the players we have are great and cohesive. The issue is that we should not be losing games like this and I know it’s just one game but there are glaring issues that we need to fix. There are going to be days when shots don’t fall and that is why we need some form of defense. I don’t know how we fix it and it could be trading Turner but probably not. What do you guys think?

We keep going for now. You listen to offers, but don’t necessarily make any right now. As we approach the deadline, we and other teams will have a stronger understanding of where we are in the league.

There are a couple of free agents this summer that could be useful, but we need to be patient and maintain our flexibility to have a shot at them.

Rick doesn’t have these guys practicing defense. There’s no way. We have the number 1 offense because that’s what we’ve been focused on and then they might what some film and walk through rotations but there’s no way these guys are actively working on defense during practice.

how in the fuck does “trade turner” fix anything??? everyone says get rid of him! rebounds! uh bad defense is all his fault! but no one has any fuckin solutions or improvements or ideas that actually improve the team.

we get rid of turner, who is better for this team?? what center can we get that actually makes us better?? ffs

    sick of hearing it.

The problem with any of the big men who are more sturdy defensively and gettable is that they are gonna be a decent offensive downgrade like a Jakob Poetel or healthy Steven Adams types id rather have the way better offen than a marginally better defender(including rebounding as defense)

lol at Poeltl being considered better defensively than Myles. they may be better rebounders but they are worse at every other aspect of the game compared to Myles. also bruh you seriously added Steven Adams? even healthy he’s a bottom-5 starting center in the league

The next move is to take a step back and a deep breath.

We have a 23 year-old superstar whose game doesn’t rely on athleticism and is under team control for a long time. We have all of our draft picks and then some, and nothing but good contracts on the roster. Be patient and don’t rush a quick fix that doesn’t make us a contender and also handicaps our future ceiling.

Try to do a consolidation trade with lower end pieces for maybe a kinda crappy contract and a pick and keep building ammunition for moves, if you know Buddy is gone after this year then move him at the deadline ig but I would rather keep him his shooting is too important

Trading Turner on an already bad defensive team. This is crazy talk. I will never understand Pacers fans desire to run this guy of all people out of town.
