So, last Wednesday, I got an email for Vans Family members saying “Early Access: 30% off site-wide.”

So, I placed an order for 2 gifts that I had been planning on ordering, but waited for a sale. Figuring that being a long-time member of the Vans family—this would mean the best discount. I’m a single parent on a tight budget—bargain shopping is vital to my life, especially during the holidays!!

Two days later, on Black Friday, I get another email stating: 30% off plus an additional 10% off for Vans Family members! Seriously?? I was originally planning on waiting until Black Friday to buy them, until I got the early access email!

Now for Cyber Monday, they are offering 40% off site-wide for everyone, AND they extended it an additional day!

So, in the grand scheme of things, waiting until now to order would have meant the largest discount, and being a Vans Fam member pretty much means nothing. Because I also keep getting emails saying I have a $15 voucher from the point rollover, yet when I try to find it in my account, it’s nowhere to be found. Super frustrated!!!

Their best Black Friday deal is always on cyber Monday :) On the Dutch Vans site we got up to 50% off then +10% off and on cyber Monday + 20% off.

i am fine with it. the difference between (30% + 10%) and 40% is not that great. Plus you we able to maybe get your order in before the style/size you wanted sold out.

I’m well aware it’s not that much, however, going from 30-40% does add up quick. And I was ordering customs, which are more expensive on the front end, so every little bit helps.

And it’s not a post necessarily about how much money I ended up saving or missing out on saving—it’s more about their marketing and their advertising decisions, along with my frustration of getting multiple emails about my point reward, but not being able to find it when I went into my account!

you mean the difference between 37% and 40%. If you spent 1,000 on Sunday, you’d have saved $370, on Monday it would have been $400 savings – so a difference of $30 on $1000. I’m guessing you ordered a lot less than $1000.
