I don’t think Tepper is this Jerry Jones type that everyone is making him out to be. He doesn’t make the draft selections, he doesn’t scout players. He trust his football people, but he applies the pressure of wanting to win. I mean who wouldn’t, the guys he hired to win us games and build a winner have failed every year. I’d be impatient too

Yeah exactly, ppl keep knocking him for firing the coaches.

Facts are Rivera, had opportunities and we all could see he was stale and needed a change. Rhule simply didn’t work, and he gave him 3.5 years. Reich was not the guy long term and Byrce you could tell did not respond well to him, the best move was to move on immediately, we all could see there was no way Reich would be back next year, so instead of keeping him in Byrces head the rest of the season, you rid the negative thoughts and bad vibes.

This was a good piece. Whether you like Tepper or not, Frank was not working out here and it was beyond the dealing with a bad roster. As the article pointed out, there were some poor decisions made these last few weeks that winning coaches simply don’t make let alone a coach of a team that has one win and no first round pick. For example that trick pitch to Sanders on 3rd and 2 during the first drive of the game. Idk wtf that was but we effectively lost the game right there. Add to that the severe regression of our OL, which I am obviously aware is hampered by injuries, but looks completely lost out there. The OLs performance has led to an unstable passing and rushing attack and our passing scheme is the anti-scheme for the skill set our WRs have. It all reeked of a coach who was inflexible and stuck in his ways. He ignored the strengths of the roster, what players were comfortable with, and refused to play on whatever worked in the past (see “we’re not a downhill running team”). I hated the hire to begin with I also understand what Tepper saw. He had the opportunity to bring a proven QB developer in with a newly drafted QB and really build something here. It sucks that it didn’t work out and we’re now in the situation we’re in because of it, but here we are.
