I wonder what all the armchair General Managers on this subreddit calling for McDermott to be run out of town because he “can’t get us a Superbowl win with all this talent” would have said about Marv Levy back in the day?

It took Marv 3 season to get to the Super Bowl and went four years in a row.

Where’s McDermott on that path? Oh, right.

Pitchforks were out for Marv after XXVI. Ralph probably didn’t want to move on with the core group still being intact, although aging. By the time Kelly left, it was all systems go on Operation Fire Marv.

He eventually left in a more dignified manner but there is zero doubt he would have been let go had he chosen not to resign.

Really don’t understand the adverse reaction to calling for a coach to be let go. Seriously, it’s not like people are calling for a puppy to be murdered or something. On average 7 NFL HC’s get replaced every season. Such is life. Perform to the level of expectations or get that resume polished up.

He also couldn’t get a championship unless I’ve been in dream state for 33 years

    Stupid stupid post.

Levy coached 7 games in 1986. Made it to the SB in his fourth full year. Don’t put up names for comparison when you don’t the basic facts.

The Real question is Do yall want Marv back? Since he’s said, he’d come back.

The problem is we’ve lost a lot of heartbreaking games we should have won because of McDermott’s poor decision making. It keeps happening and doesn’t seem to be getting better.
