I’m (F24) new to Overwatch & have been learning the game on Xbox over the last two days. I don’t have many heroes unlocked and I’m only semi-decent playing as Dva. It’s been pretty upsetting trying to learn a new game and have some fun while being told I’m trash every 5 seconds. I know I’m not great but I’m getting about 15-20 kills during a good game. The toxicity of the chat makes a newb like me feel pretty crappy lol. Is everyone a jerk on overwatch? The game is fun the ppl suck

    More like 1 in 5 are. But those odds still mean lots of games with toxicity. Today i picked Ball in QP and the Moira says “i don’t heal Hammond” before the game even started, without any instigation, and followed through with it. I think it just comes down to people having a rough time in life right now, and they take it out on anyone they can.

      You are so right! Don’t worry. You will always get that 1 person who will say a certain class is trash. It’s hard to not let them get to you but…

      If you do well they will have a go at you for choosing a too ez character.

      I have a message ready to send " why is everytime the worst player on the team say nasty stuff"

      I’d say more like 2 in 5 of those who actually use chat . Maybe even 50/50. The rest don’t bother with chat

      Edit: I don’t heal Hammond either
