I’ve been going Brig against Sombra if I’m support and can’t defend well enough as Ana. It has worked out for me most times even though I’m not a great Brig.

I’m just estimating with the 1 in 5, and it is only my personal experience. Also, that’s not really how probability works. Sometimes you might get 3 toxic players in one game and others, none. In my experience, I go 2-3 games with everyone being friendly, and then you get a game of people arguing. I’d say 1 in 10 games, you get someone truly abusive. Despite the player-base’s short term memory, I think toxicity is not as bad as it was in the beginning. Reporting/actioning and endorsements have helped (but they will never completely prevent toxicity).

They should have just made it so the grapple time only applies when in fireball. And the spawning nerf is terrible.

And they are choosing them without even knowing the enemy team has Hammond.

Yeah i don’t mind 5v5. It’s mostly a meta issue, not that Ball is weak or Hog is too strong. I just wish they gave Hog a different ability than a second trap. Maybe like someone else suggested, Ball should be unstoppable in fireball (like Mauga’s charge).

I don’t need healing from Moira. That isn’t the point. The point is contempt over a hero pick at the start of a game, and unprompted hostility.

Sombra is definitely less of a counter than she was, but the fact that she is in more games (in mid levels) also can’t be ignored.

That’s fair. If we are playing comp, I definitely will swap off if I’m heavily countered. But in qp, i just want to have fun. And games seem to have 3 counters before I even leave spawn the first time. I can play other tanks, but Ball is fun, and the others are a chore.

I can make him work against 1-2 counters. But seems like the enemy team naturally has 3+ counters every game i play now.

You need to call the police!

That sounds really frustrating. In my game, the Moira had almost no healing and everyone could see it. At least these situations should be recognized by both teams and cause lots of reports. In my game, it was just qp, so i mostly brushed it off. I always say glhf at the start of every game too, and it’s surprising how much negativity comes from saying something positive.

I don’t expect heals from Moira on Ball. The point was the unwarranted contempt.

Just use corners and then the 12 cc abilities on the other team don’t matter?

More like 1 in 5 are. But those odds still mean lots of games with toxicity. Today i picked Ball in QP and the Moira says “i don’t heal Hammond” before the game even started, without any instigation, and followed through with it. I think it just comes down to people having a rough time in life right now, and they take it out on anyone they can.

I say “ggwp” after every game… adding the wp reduces the chances the losing team takes it as snarky. You still sometimes get people saying “no it wasn’t!” but I just ignore them.
