I think what is interesting with Hardy vs. THJ is that if Hardy can show he is noticeable better at defense compared to THJ, it might be ok if he isn’t shooting as well as THJ. Now Hardy isn’t projected to be an amazing defender either but THJ is such a minus on defense (despite trying hard and at least taking charges).

But as things stand right now, THJ will only get moved if we get a very good offer. Otherwise better keep him and trade him next offseason.

He’s not a great defender and his decision making on offense is questionable. There was a play this game where he had I believe THJ wide open for 3 and instead of just dishing it to him, he went for a straight line drive and was forced to finally pass it out to him outside of his catch radius.

You can always tell his first instinct is to shoot and he only passes when all other options are taken away. I’ve been impressed with how good of a transition player he has been this season, but that is about the only notable improvement I have seen from him thus far.

I genuinely think he will be a solid player eventually, but if they’re not gonna give him consistent PT I’d prefer we trade him to somewhere he can develop. I wonder if the Bulls would be interested.

Problem is he hasnt been efficient on offense which is what hes there for.

I like hardy a lot, he hasn’t been good this season but I have faith that he’ll start playing well again. Something tells me he might not be a maverick by the end of the season, it just seems like he could be a lot more valuable somewhere else
