The writing has been on the wall for years now. Tepper is as meddlesome as it gets. He puts pressure on his head coaches and GMs to make the decisions he wants them to make, and then fires them when those decisions result in losses.

From the outside looking in Panthers fans look impossible in to appease. You’ll criticize your owner for making decisions you’ve been asking him to make. If he sticks with his original hires he’s an out of touch aloof owner only in it for the money and if he does what the fans ask he’s meddlesome. Sure a lot of the decisions haven’t worked out but hindsight is always 20/20 but atleast you have an owner that isn’t just going to stick with something once he knows it’s not working.

I personally never was asking him to fire Ron. I liked Ron. I also happy to be patient with Rhule and Reich. But I understand your point about some people being impossible to please. I just think Tepper meddles too much, makes it hard for any coach or GM to succeed.

If this is actually true, I just find it really really strange. What does anyone outside of professional NFL coaches or players know about the nuances of defensive schemes like 4-3 or 3-4? And the personnel needed to run it? And the implications on secondary, etc?

I have no love for him It’s almost a bit hard to believe Tepper would meddle THAT much to be honest.

Ricky Prohl said on a podcast, that’s literally why Luke Kuechly retired early.

Dude, really? Was it some hyperbole? I know Luke was also told by doctors it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to keep playing because of CTE.

Lol come on man if you read the article even Rivera was on-board with it. Frank refused to do RPO, Rivera could have refused to switch to a 3-4

Commanders fan here, these meddlesome ownders dont change. For 20 years he sucked…and snyders always meddled in the draft. He meddled less as time went on mainly due to lack of money he had in making coaches expendable…however that is not the case with tepper.
