Jaelan Phillips tore his Achilles in Week 12 of NFL play. Knee and leg injuries to players making more than $312.2 million combined this year are the crux of a debate over artificial turf and natural grass fields.

23 Major leg injuries so far this season.

13 on Turf, 10 on grass

Most common location is M&T Bank stadium (Baltimore) - Grass, followed by Minneapolis-Turf, and Tottenham Hotspur (London) -Turf.

So, super small sample size, and I can’t find good historical data on injuries vs stadia. But I expected MetLife to be the worst given it’s reputation.

    23 is too small to draw a conclusion, but in general there should be 2x as many injuries at Met Life, right?

      Good point, would need to analyze on a per game basis or something like that. But yea it’s interesting that it’s not the even the highest instance with twice as many games.
