I can’t think of any good reason to come back and play in a game. Yes practice, take snaps, train etc. Why would the NYJ and Rodgers risk any type of injury or reinjuring his achilles. This O-line is awful. They will be out of the playoff hunt. I see no upside unless I am missing something.

2 reasons I can think of.

    1. So the fans can chill the fuck out after we continue playing sub .500 ball.

    2. So that Hackett will be gone when point #1 is proven

If we win out (this is still the team that beat the Eagles and outplayed the Chiefs!), we are very likely to make the playoffs.

The only good reason is that the NFL is scripted. The jets win out and somehow the AFC championship game is the Jets vs KC and is Rodgers vs Mahones. Because the numbers that game will pull with t swift and the jets fans finally getting a good QB for a chance at the Super Bowl will be insanity.

I honestly don’t even care at this point.

The guy is clearly going to do whatever he wants anyway, and there are apparently no adults in the room to stop him, so fuck it. Grab some popcorn and enjoy the circus.

There no good reasons. It’s stupid… all it’s takes is one guy to roll up on his knee in a meaningless game against the commanders so he misses next year too.

On December 24 (last home game of the season) have him start the game. Come in to a standing ovation and line up in shotgun. Hand off to Breece. Hand off to Breece. Bubble screen to Garrett. Punt if they don’t get a first down, or stay in and run similar plays until they score, punt, or turn it over. Come out of the game to a standing ovation.

After the game, Aaron: “bring me your doubts. I told you I’d be back.” Fans drool over 2024.

    A true Christmas miracle.

Because if the offense still sucks with him for 2 weeks, then maybe Hackett gets fired and the team gets serious about an offensive line and maybe, just maybe, we could end up with a real OC like Bill Callahan who actually helps lines improve.

Need to see what he’s got left in the tank. Also, If he’s going to get hurt, Rather have him get hurt now than first game next season. At least we can plan earlier.

Need to see if this offense would look ANY different with him. OLINE isn’t going to improve much- FA is scarce etc. it is not going to get much better other than AR; if this team looks this atrocious with AR, we can justify (giants game was nail in coffin to me) to AR, finally getting rid of saleh / Hackett etc. if AR doesn’t like it, oh fucking well, we draft a QB and if he thinks he’s holding us hostage again, we trade or get rid of him. Don’t care at this point.

Also, for the mental health of this team and fans. All of our players are going to want out if we end our season like this. It’s historically bad. We need some momentum going into next year. Something for the fans to get us to next off season. Because right now, I can’t even watch or get excited about anything when it comes to this pos team.

There’s not a single reason Rodgers should play this year. He should recuperate for next season.
