I’m just curious if it’s because there was a particular app or a workflow that motivated you to get a MacBook? Or just the Apple ecosystem?
Genuinely just curious.
Because i can 🤷♂️
Awesome battery, really fast, long lasting. Every windows or chrome laptop I’ve owned has slowed down pretty quick, my MacBook is still blazing fast
Windows battery life is shit and the integration became better than the price difference
The price / performance ratio of the M1 MacBook Air! Previously a Windows & Android guy & this one purchase pulled me over to the Apple ecosystem (for my entire family LOL).
Peer pressure
I build websites, and my clients are using Mac. I’ve been trying to endure using emulators for years. When I felt that I needed to upgrade my laptop due to requirements, that’s the time I chose Macbook.
Because I like wasting money. Legitimately I bought mine for personal use. No work at all. And it was a total waste of money.
I barely use the thing and do just about everything on my iPad.
Because it has the best trackpad. Period.
I’m from India btw, and a decent windows laptop would cost 60k-75k for basic needs like multimedia, web browsing and office stuff. Even such a laptop shows it’s true face after 2 years in the battery and hinge front.
This is where MacBook comes into picture where the longevity plays a part. The benefits you get for what you pay is mutlifolds, especially after the introduction of apple silicon. Again it all leads to use case as the primary factor which made me a seamless transition to a MacBook. (Bought MBAM1 for 60k during sale) And also iPhone mac integration is a cherry on top and makes thing even sweeter
To stay in the Apple eco system, in too deep now so why not
Simplicity
This and the ability to text while in class without looking suspicious to the professor
WhatsApp Web over here
That’s not just limited to Apple products
I bought a MacBook for many reasons first yes the Aple ecosystem and because I find them easier to use than Windows computers I just like Macs they last longer and are more reliable for me than Windows machines
As someone from the windows world my whole life, I’m eyeing tomorrow nights releases. 3nm to me might mean more efficiency, and that’s my primary reason is that sick battery life. Got a xps plus and it chews through the battery, makes me anxious. Want to feel calm when I’m sitting at my pc which I do a lot. For me it’s battery life on a high end portable workstation.
I would’ve preferred one of those hybrid 2 in 1 convertible laptops as it seemed convenient but almost every review was saying how amazing the MacBook Air M1 was. I had just brought the IPhone 11 Pro the year before and wanted to stay in the ecosystem if possible so I decided to get the MacBook M1. 2 years later still my best decision.
Well, Apple ecosystem makes everything easier, also they last tons of time… never had issues with any of my Macs, they don’t have all the errors I can see in Windows and now you can do everything, so… for me is a no brainer
Before I had the Galaxy book 2 Pro 360 i7 16 gb ram 512 gb ssd, it was nice and thin but I had the 15.6 inch display and the resolution was 1080p which made the screen look terrible but was amoled. Also it would get really hot for no reason even when I just opened YouTube. I returned it and got the MacBook Pro 14 and it’s amazing!
