Did my best to go through the game and identify all screens set for Dame as the primary ball handler, and the result.

1st

10:30 - Brook Lopez screen for Dame near logo, leads to uncontested Giannis dunk(make)

9:45 - Giannis screen for Dame near logo, leads to wide open 3 for Brook (miss)

8:00 - Brook slips screen for Dame top of key, leads to turnover

6:52 - Brook slips screen for Dame top of key, leads to wide open 3 for Beasley(miss)

5:46 - Brook screen for Dame near logo, leads to bad mid range floater by Dame seeking foul (miss)

4:09 - Brook/Crowder staggered screen for Dame near logo, leads to foul on ground for Dame

2nd

6:00 - Brook screen Dame near logo, leads to wide open layup for Dame (miss)

5:39 - Brook screen Dame near logo, leads to Lopez driving layup (make + foul)

4:05 - Giannis screen Dame top of key, leads to open corner 3 for Crowder (miss)

3rd

9:50 - Brooke slips screen for Dame top of key, then Giannis slips screen for Dame top of key, leads to TO by Giannis (travel)

9:27 - Brooke sets screen for Dame near logo, leads to wide open 3 for Brook (miss)

9:00 - Giannis slips screen for Dame top of key, leads to Beasley 3 (make)

7:40 - Brooke sets screen for Dame top of key, leads to Dame 3 (miss)

6:20 - Giannis sets screen for Dame near logo, leads to Giannis contested dunk (make)

3:35 - Crowder screen for Dame near logo, leads to open deep 3 for Dame (make)

What blew me away was seeing Giannis set only FOUR screens for Dame in the entire game, also, I think only one of them was a solid screen, there was a slip, and two token screens from what I saw.

Brook would also slip or set token screens as well. But the result was almost always a good to great shot for the Bucks.

From what I could tell, Dame only turned the ball over one time while running the P&R, and it was from a slip where he got trapped immediately.

I truly do not understand how they are not focusing on building chemistry between Dame and Giannis using the play that should basically be unstoppable for them.

I wanna say, based on dames postgame comments last game, that they want to avoid spamming giannis dame PNRs so it surprises teams in the playoffs or late game situations. Not saying it’s a good idea, but I think that’s what the they’re thinking.
