Truth be told, I don’t know who should start at QB, so this post is in no way meant to be a case for why Mullens to start over Dobbs or Hall. I think there are valid arguments for all three, but a portion of the fanbase seems to be excessively sour on Mullens, which is shocking to me. The guy has reliably demonstrated the ability to operate an NFL offense throughout his entire career. He has the 11th most passing yards for a player ever in their first 16 starts. That’s not to say he’s a hall of famer, or that he’ll be great, but he wouldn’t be a bad option moving forward.

Hall is getting the start after the bye week. If Mullens was “next in line” he would have came in the 4th quarter of the Chicago game.

It doesn’t matter who starts the rest of the year. The Vikings will get the last wild card seed and have another 41- donut game.

Nick Mullens is a terrible option if you want to go into next season not knowing if Hall can ball or not. We know what we have with Mullens, we know what we have with Dobbs, we don’t know what we have with Hall?

Why the fk not let the kid go the rest of the way?

You gotta start Hall. The two series he had pre injury looked great for a rookie QB, or really any QB for that matter.

5-6 for 78 yards, 13 yards per attempt. 2 rushes for 11 yards and more importantly 0 sacks.

Showed pocket awareness, athleticism, accuracy and arm strength.

Gotta find out what we have in Hall. After all, he is 1-0 as a starter

Nick Mullens is a horrible option!!!

    23 INTS in 23 games.

He’s horrible stop trying to sugar coat it.

Dobbs has 5 interceptions and 6 fumbles in 4 games as a Viking. If Mullens is horrible then what is Dobbs?

The thing is, we’re all so goddam fucking sick of being just above mediocrity.

We don’t want to throw in a known mediocre option, we’d rather go with Hall and lose and see what he has than win a few games and lose first round with some very average known quantity.

I honestly could understand whatever decision is made. Nick has twice held down the fort for a team half the season. With decent personal success. Hall is the unknown, so technically the upside is limitless there. Then dobbs even after a terrible game is still 15th in qbr in the nfl. That’s not bad at all for a dude you grabbed at the deadline. I don’t envy KOC for having this decision to mull over this week.

Agree. Our long-term solution isn’t on the roster (Kirk included). Can we just win a couple more games, get into the playoffs and enjoy the remainder of the season?
