He already turned us down last year when the job was infinitely more attractive. There’s 0 chance lol

Man I want him but don’t want to get my hopes up. That Bears job will be by far the most attractive coaching destination in some time. Big market team, big cultured city like Chicago, great fans and quite possibly getting the first two picks in the draft or at worst two picks in the top 5.

There are rumblings though that the Bears have their eye on the Eagles OC. So hopefully that’s the case. If the Bears don’t get Johnson then I think we have a legit shot as all the other landing spots are pretty even in terms of attractiveness.

    Well no shit.

I’d love to have him, but we will have stiff competition and the worst situation of all the head coaches. Unless Tepper just backs up the money truck (which is a possibility), I can’t see him taking this job.

We will get a good candidate as our head coach just because of the nature of scarcity in the position…but I can’t imagine he will be the one to come here

You guys are being unrealistic. I can’t come up with a single reason he would chose Carolina over Vegas, Chicago, LAC, New England, Tampa, Washington. They’re all preferable to Carolina. When you’re 1-16 you don’t have options. You take who ever is willing to take the job. All the guys with options are going elsewhere.

A lot of the speculation around HC vacancies are much better options. Atlanta, Chargers, Pats, Bears, Buffalo, Bucs, Saints, Vegas…like 4 guys are key key pieces (Harbaugh, Bienemy, Johnson, Shane Waldron) everyone will be gunning for.

I just don’t see someone picking this dysfunctional organization and the fixer upper in Bryce. Most of the time in this situation it’s taking a gamble on a guy either is on their last chance or someone who’s an OC most feel hasn’t proved it yet. Like Nagy was for Mitch and Dirk Koetter and Adam Gase were for their teams.
