What is your GO to lens that lives most of the time on your camera?
70-200 2.8 on a BlackRapid rig.
Wedding photog here. 24-70 f/2.8 Sony GM is my main workhorse for the bulk of the day. But for getting ready shots I typically use the 35 f/1.4 GM.
I’d say that the 35 is my “favorite” but I can’t use it all day. Used to love the 70-200 but I realized that I used it more because I wasn’t as capable of shooting wide shots that told a full story. Now I can only use it for the ceremony for the most part.
I got the 50mm 1.8. My next purchase would be a 70-200mm. But I am doing just fine with the 50mm
Fuji 16-55 2.8. But it’s my only lens so it’s always on ;)
Canon 40mm pancake lens. So cute, so sharp.
My personal favorite is the Panasonic Leica 10-25mm f/1.7 on M43 mount. I definitely don’t use it the most since it’s huge and I don’t like taking it out for fun, but for any paid jobs I’m doing, this is the go-to.
The PL 12-60mm f/2.8-4 probably lives more on my camera since it’s smaller and I feel better taking it in public.
Dumb question here apparently. I’m new…
No-one has mentioned full frame or APS-C.
I thought the lens varied the resulting image based on full frame or crop.
Is every comment here using one of the other? Any explanations? I’ve been looking for future upgrades and want to make sure I understand
70-200 2.8 but I do like to John Wick with a 17-35 and get all up in people’s business
Tamron 35-150mm f2
Lately? 40mm f2.5 prime.
The 35mm 1.4f Zeiss distagon on my Sony A7iii back when I still shot Sony. I miss that lens…
50 mm
