He plays conservatively and protects the ball better and he has a beautiful deep ball to help open up our run game. We can win the next couple weeks against lesser teams with a game manager that lets our D decide the outcome. Mitch is a pick machine.

Why are you guys so obsessed with a 3rd string QB that’s so shit 31 teams passed on him and he failed to beat Mitch out in camp twice. He’s not good, I don’t get it

Recency bias and offensive play style is my guess

Everyone just saw Mitch walk onto the field at the start of the 2nd half and chuck 2 picks. He also started in 5 games last year and was terrible in almost all of them (shoutout for his 4th quarter heroics against Brady and the Bucs)

Mason hasn’t seen the field in 2 seasons. I think a lot of people have a certain nostalgia for the 2019 season because at the time, we weren’t used to Tomlin 8-8 magic and fully expected to have 2-3 wins. Since then he’s started twice and had one good game against Cleveland backups, and one awful game where he tied the 0-8 lions but some (not me) try to write that off because of shitty weather conditions. I also think there’s a bit of a “what if” narrative with him because he looked the part for a lot of 2019 before he suffered that Earl Thomas concussion. He’s also just a broadly beleaguered guy who is more famous for getting hit with his own helmet than anything related to his football performance

Personally I think both of these guys suck and we are in serious trouble until Kenny gets back, and then we resume being in average amounts of trouble

The way Trubisky chucked it into triple coverage was wild

WR was open against 2 of them, he never saw the safety sliding over from the opposite side. So, not a reckless play it was being unaware.

Why not pick up the first down?it was off coverage one of the receivers should have ran to the sticks and stopped.was there even an under route to the sticks?

I was saying before and after the time out… check to the quick out he’s playing soft… Mitch saw a way to end the game and called a time out

To be fair to him, he thought it was only double coverage…because he didn’t see the third guy…wait that’s not a good argument

I think both of those guys play scared. I think it is because that’s how they are coached all week. It seems like they drill “don’t turn it over” so much that they play tight. Not saying they would go out there and be awesome. Neither are good. But I think coaching has a lot to do with the way they play.

They could start literally anyone other than Mitch and I would be ok if Kenny can’t go. I just can’t watch anymore Mitch Trubisky football.

How are they “lesser teams “? Titans yards allowed: 339per game TDs allowed: 9 Steelers yards allowed: 383per game TDs allowed:13 so they aren’t lesser on defense And we know they aren’t lesser on offense There is no such thing as a lesser team for the Steelers Stats from Foxsports through week 7

Mason with a good o-line is easily better than Mitch and at least as good as KP. Mason with a bad o-line is easily the worst of our 3 QBs. Mitch should start if Kenny can’t.

He’s a statue in the pocket and our line is suspect at best. Yes, you could plan accordingly around this, but the Canadian would NEVER.

We have no run game and a quickly degrading pocket. Mason can’t sense pressure and folds immediately. He’s TERRIBLE and shouldn’t be on the roster, nor should Trubisky for his contract.

I am done with Kenny and Mitch… throw some gas on it and toss a match, let’s see Mason.

Couldn’t get any worse. He throws a nice long ball and I bet he and Pickens would do well together.

They won’t start Rudolph bc tomlin hates that dude for some reason. Wasn’t given a fair chance to start last season and he sure as hell won’t start unless trubs and DJ Have a fight again or trubisky gets hurt
