Unless the final is somehow NRG vs KT, KT will not have faced a single non-LPL or LCK team the whole tournament.

They got the BY FAR most unlucky draw of Worlds for any of the LPL/LCK teams. BLG is second but quite a distant second.

So KT gets the hardest route of all teams and still makes it out 3-2. Okay.

What is their reward? Well then they drew JDG who are for sure the hardest opponent on paper. Big favorites to win the whole thing and JDG have never lost a BO5 with this iteration of the team.

And now KT has to beat them in a BO5 continue.

And what else? Well KT is also on the by far harder side of the single elim bracket.

Upper side have both NRG and Weibo who only beat Western teams. Bottom side have T1, LNG, KT and fucking JDG.

It’s actually unreal how unlucky KT was been. If they win Worlds from here, it will be by far the hardest possible run of any team ever.

Hardest run ever - I agree

Most impressive run ever - I do not agree

They already lost a Bo3 & a Bo1 and while they certainly didn’t go into the tournament as favorites due to their rather bad play-offs run, it should not be forgotten that they had a 17-1 Summer Split in LCK. This surely isn’t as impressive as DRX’s run last year or even TPA in Season 2.

I think it fairly applies to any team from JDG side of the bracket except of JDG.

    T1: Gen.G, BLG, LNG, JDG/KT, Gen.G/WBG/BLG

    LNG: JDG, KT, T1, JDG/KT, Gen.G/WBG/BLG

    And KT you cover already.

This part of the bracket is god damn stacked, while on other side we have WBG (FNC, MAD, NRG), NRG (TL, MAD, G2), Gen.G (GAM, T1, G2) and only BLG has a hard road (KT, JDG, T1, and now Gen.G)
