There’s no such thing as modern humor. It’s just the same humor in a modern context. Humans are oddly good at thinking they are smarter and better than previous generations. We’re not. We’ve been exactly the same for thousands of years.
I used to work with this super cool dude from Ghana. One day he said “you youngins think you invented comedy, take a listen of this” and it was oldies music twisted to be full of dirty jokes.
It blew my mind, but it also hammered in a fundamental understanding - people are people, always have been. Weird Al is great, but he just continued a timeless tradition
