I’m still having fun. All these youtubers are making these videos about how the game is ruined and dying. I really don’t care I’m just enjoying the game. While I agree the monetization is a pile of shit the actual ganeplay is 10/10 and with all the cosmetics being optional I can just ignore it unless it’s something I really want (good and evil echo) and the battle pass isn’t that unfair. I just want to enjoy the game without people saying how much it sucks.

It has been a dead game for years.
OW2 was the revival, but it was short lived due to the shareholders being a bunch of money grubbing fools.
Everyone will know who Pikachu and Mario is in the year 2099, but who will remember Tracer?
Overwatch is gonna continue to die for years, just like it’s been supposedly dying for the past 8. It isn’t actually going anywhere anytime soon.
I’m relatively new to OW so I can’t say how it used to be, but I know this past season everyone complained that support is OP and they listened and nerfed supports. So at least it seems like they’re listening to feedback which is nice.
Blizzard is a very money hungry place and their business model makes me mad, but the people who do the coding, sound design, level design, skins etc. Are doing a great job and they clearly care about the community.
The community itself is for me easily the worst part of OW. I don’t enjoy how often I have to hear racist/sexist/homophobic/violent remarks from actual losers in the chat. Or people who throw and act like children cuz they are children.
If I’m not having fun then it doesn’t matter if the game is dying or not. And vice versa. If I’m having fun it doesn’t matter
