Mine is filled up with games and the only ones I usually play are each version of Tetris I have. But what usually helps me branch out is watching someone on YouTube play a game installed. Makes me wanna jump back into it.

93 games installed (not incl. emulated ones), and I play maybe 5 of them in a constant rotation. I have the others saved for when I’m traveling.

Only install what you intend to play. Had my 512 full and considered buying a 512 micro sd to expand. Instead, deleted everything I wasn’t playing. Actually started finishing games too since there wasn’t so many options.

Used to have my SteamDeck full of games. Got to a point where I was overwhelmed by what to play. Decided to wipe and start again. Now I only have maximum of 4 games installed at a time. One big story game (currently Control, will be Alan Wake II after) one arcade like game (currently Hades) and one spare (currently Forza 5). This gives me the focus to actually progress the game to finish.

Doing this I managed to finish: God of War, Guardians of the Galaxy, Quatum Break, Alan Wake, Max Payne 1&2, Batman Arkham Asylum and Divinity Original Sin. Been a blast and really helped me enjoy my Deck again instead of spending hours curating and tweaking each game to play how I want and moving onto the next (felt like a job!)

Was talking with a friend last week about this. He’s had his SD for about a year and he also got the ROG Ally. I just got my SD about a month or two ago… both of us basically just build libraries and jump from game to game without really finishing much.

My Steam library is 230 strong, plus I can remote play into my PS5 and there’s probably 200-300 there plus PS+ games available from that library… and then there’s emulation on the SD as well. He’s in a similar situation only with GamePass instead of PS+. It’s a TON of content.

We were discussing how part of this, especially regarding emulation is that there’s this thing about being able to get things to work and then moving on to the next thing, but never really playing the games much.
