I have not watched all of the matches, but has Raya stood out as being a good passer?
I really dont see him in same light as Ederson or prime VVD where you saw a player in an unusual position making incredible penetrating passes.
Has he been noticably good at passing?

All the data supports Raya and the fact he doesn’t allow pressing pressure to deter his game style is also something Mikel really wants (as stated by him multiple times)

Does anyone actually have the goalkeeping stats? We already know that Raya is better at distribution, but how is he compared to Ramsdale when it comes to shot stopping and conceding?
I think people are forgetting that Ramsdale distribution regressed last season and was not up to standard this season either. Instead of playing it short he would usually just hoof it up. Raya continues to play out from the back even after he makes a mistake, that makes him brave in my opinion. Its clear Arteta wants a keeper that is calm under pressure and Raya is more calm than Ramsdale (For now)
Stats aren’t everything. For a keeper one of the unseen things, but one of the most important, is how confident the four guys in front you are that they can pass the ball back to you in a tight situation. I just don’t get that with Raya.
Raya’s stats are better in every metric and most importantly his PSxG is better while allowing us to play the way Mikel wants:
The main thing is Raya had an error that is currently on everyone’s mind while Ramsdale technically hasn’t committed any this year per Fbref. If you look at last year’s errors committed, Ramsdale had 6 to Raya’s 2 over the same number of games.
Debates over who should start will be brought up again and again because of our affinity for Ramsdale and Arteta’s gk rotation comments but we have to trust Mikel and the coaching staff know what they are doing.
Personally, I hope Mikel starts Ramsdale more often than just the EFL to keep his match fitness/sharpness
