As we approach this Sunday and the season debut of Kyler Murray, it has brought up an interesting question… This is based on where the Cardinals and Bears are currently as franchises…

Who would be the better potential QB option for ATL next year?

Justin Fields or Kyler Murray?

Personally, I would take a run at Fields… He seems like he is wired better mentally and is a better fit for the locker room… He would also be cheaper…

Kyler is more talented, but I have concerns with his character as it has been questionable from his time in AZ… Plus his contract is significantly more expensive…

Thoughts?

I’d probably go Fields, but if we had FedEx Boy and Call of Duty Boy on the team next season, the memes would be out of this world.

I’m leaning towards Fields cause he can actually run a pistol formation run play that doesn’t end with a 5 yard loss

It’s just Kyler Murray is like 5’8".

Easily Murray. Potentially the closest thing you’ll get to a sure thing next year.

I say neither to be honest. I know rhe Bears AND Cardinals are a dumpster fire of a team, so it’s hard to say fairly if it’s their QB play, or the strength of their team as a whole that puts me off to them. Murray has had a lot of flash, but I really think his size is an issue for most offenses to run effectively. It became more noticeable as the years go by, more and more defenses have learned how to deal with short, small QBs.

Fields hasn’t shown enough talent to me to prove he’s a huge upgrade over what we already have. Small one? Maybe, but not enough for a playoff run I’m my opinion. A lot of film study shows he struggles with reading defenses quickly.

Fields is 6-25 as a Starter. Heinicke has a better record as a starter by far and we’ve all come to the conclusion that he aint it. So what is it about Fields that everybody is drooling over? Dude is the definition of MID.

Are we trying to get out of QB Purgatory, or just dive into the deep end?

Out of those 2 id take fields.

Bigger faster… his style of running and play in general would fit the offense better. His style of leadership better suited for the team. Plus he’s a Georgia native.

I think he could play his best football in this offense. The way its set up with bigger recievers is perfect for him.

As the guys on espn said when it was brought up earlier in the season… fields in backfield next to bijan running rpo and zone read would be a fucking nightmare for defenses. Fields is more of a student of the game…and i think for this alone in the long run he will be a better QB than Murray. Murray just tries to finesse everything and get by on talent alone. Murray would not he as commited to the team and dedicated to the offense as fields would. Plus the chicago offense us a variation od the base offense that they run here. Meanwhile murray is coming from kingsbury nfl version of the air raid.

If fields landed in the nfl with hopkins…aj green…zach ertz and christian kirk like kyler did his narrative and career would be much different right now.

Instead he landed in QB hell… a team thats had 1 3k yard passer and 1 1k yard receiver. Its hard for any QB to thrive in the nfl… especially a rookie who most the time has had horrible coaching basically no weapons.

This team would be extremely dangerous with fields.

And fields would pack the stadium full of falcons fans.

Anyone who says otherwise is just hating. Its probably the best move possible for this team. Send ridder to chicago and have Heinicke as a backup.

Id lean towards going after fields… or drafting maye or jayden daniels.

This offense is yet to function (outside of brief moments) as well as it did with Mariota running it just becaise of his threat as a runner… his threat as a deep passer in play action and how he could run rpo and zone read.

This offense can still be great but it requires an upper tier dual threat QB. And i hope Smith gets that chance before he leaves. Really really wish they would have pursued and traded up for Richardson. Went on about it all through draft season and everyone here doubted and said he was “malik Willis” or would be a bust…

Fields can do the same things as Richardson just a little less upside. Bring fields home!
