Wanted to get people’s thoughts on this:

Do people legitimately hate Tyreek or is it just somewhat of an indifference? For me, I was super bummed when he left. I feel like chiefs fans started calling him out on chasing money instead of rings (which is true), and his “talking trash” was more of a defense against those accusations. I can’t blame him for talking highly about tua because that’s his qb. He seems like he still loves and appreciates his time as a chief and has a good relationship with many of his former teammates. I know it likely isn’t in the cards soon or ever, but I would legitimately love to have him back. No weapon in the league like him. He’s electrifying and fun to watch and a funny personality. I remember some of his crazy plays, him as a cheerleader against the Steelers and peacing bills dbs when he was in front of them in the divisional round. In my opinion, although he did say some things I don’t love, chiefs fans shouldn’t take it too harshly. Same with the Chris Jones situation. Obviously they’re different but both seem to love the chiefs and are great guys to have on the team

He’s not a good person off field, so I don’t like him, but if it wasnt for that, I would feel the same about him as any other player who went from KC to another team

Full disclosure: I’m no expert on the Chiefs but they are the team I root for. Tyreek always struck me as a showboat. I know some people enjoy that but I’ve always been more of a “just do your job” kinda guy. Maybe that’s because I grew up watching Jerry Rice. When others would score a touchdown and celebrate like they cured cancer or something, Jerry would calmly hand the ball to the ref in the endzone like it was no big deal. The saying, “Act like you’ve been there before” comes to mind.

Tyreek is not that guy. I’m not a fan of celebrating when you’re just doing your job. Imagine the guys at the tire shop dancing, celebrating and high fiving each other when they put a set of tires on a car. Like, “Dude, that’s what you get paid to do. You get paid to do it because you’re good at it.”

Sorry if that offends. It’s just my opinion on the matter and why I never cared for Tyreek.

Have fond memories of his playing here.

I don’t mind him hyping up his QB or his team, but he really went out of his way to antagonize Chiefs fans. I just seemed a fairly regular every other month, or maybe even more often, of him trying to stir up drama with the Chiefs.

Before we played them Sunday Hill was saying how he was hoping to score a TD and point at Reid and make him regret trading him. 🙄

I’ll always be a fan, guy is forever part of Chiefs history, lore and identity.

Not our best human in a lot of respects, but I have a special place in my heart reserved for Chiefs football contributions.

Anytime I see someone talking about how much they hate Tyreek, I question whether they’d have the same opinion of him if his skin were white. Does that mean every one of the anti-Tyreek voices is racist? No, of course not, but there’s a whole lot of “he needs to just be quiet” undertones that you often hear from white people about Black people.

I suspect he’s a complicated guy, like all of us, who has done things that are entirely unacceptable, and who has aspects of his personality that are truly loveable. The guys who know him best don’t seem to have a problem with him using his leverage to get paid or the fact that he says silly shit on his podcast and social media to get attention.

I like Tyreek as a player. Already a HOFer in my eyes. Possibly the best WR in the league.

I’m glad Tyreek got paid in Miami. He deserves a max type contract.

I think Tyreek got done dirty by local and national media surrounding personal issues. Seems like nobody with a national platform as cleaned up and of the myths surrounding him. They just pretend like they never vilified him.

I talked a lot of shit to fans of other teams because of Tyreek…and I forever thank him for that…hahahaha

with all that said…i just wished he’d stop acting like the Chiefs casted him aside. If he really wanted to still be in KC he would still be here and he would still have gotten a fair contract for him.

I don’t like him due to the fact that he’s a serial girlfriend abuser and there’s good evidence he broke his kids arm. He was literally kicked out of Oklahoma for that when he was in college, and then the cops walked in on him, choking his pregnant girlfriend a couple years back.
