    On the one hand I fully believe the NFL is turning a blind eye to him using HGH or something similar to accelerate his recovery because the story would sell (elite HOF QB playing in biggest market overcomes odds, the books/movies write themselves)

    On the other, I also think Rodgers is an attention whore who would absolutely be acting this way even if a return was completely and utterly impossible.

    I think the bigger question is, even if the Jets are still in playoff contention in mid-December, would the team even want to clear him to return?

    Like, if their in a spot where they need to win their last 3 games to make the playoffs, is the risk of putting him out there actually even worth it?

    It’s clear how this plays out a few fortnight’s from now:

    Rodgers: Hey everybody I’m ready to play!

    Doctors: No you’re not cleared for contact. Maybe next week.

    The following week the Jets are eliminated from playoff contention

    Rodgers: Well I tried guys but they wouldn’t let me. Now the team just wants to be safe and not risk anything for 1 have that doesn’t mean anything to playoffs. See ya next year guys!
