We’ve got a lot of time to kill before we see our Phins play again, so I figured this could be a good opportunity for us to do what fans do best: nitpick little things about the team that drive you crazy.

I’ll start with an example: Tyreek running backwards to try to find an angle when he catches a ball at or near the chains. Just fall forward for the first down my dude! Not every play has to be an opportunity for you to show how elusive you are, especially when you usually get tackled almost immediately anyway.

I think Tyreek is fine to do whatever he wants once he has the ball. Its hurt us a few times, but its hurt our opponents way more times.

We need more depth at O-Line so one person going down doesn’t turn out line into wet paper

My OCD hates Tua’s face mask. I get the 808 area code reference but that missing bar in the middle just bugs me.

I am not a fan on the over usage of bubble screens. They are the most predictable play that has a 1/10 chance at breaking it for more than 10 yards. The fail rate is too high for its typically marginal gains

Need to run to the strength of our o line (usually left) rather than going to the weak side. Need to run inside more. Obviously holds and false starts are ball breakers sometimes. I’m very pleased either our team though. I think we can really do something this year especially with how the defense has shaped up. Holding the chiefs to under 60 yards in the second half was fucking mind boggling.

I decided to look at some stats because it felt like Tua has been underperforming during primetime games going back to last season, and the simple stats have shown he has underperformed a lot worse than I thought.

These are Tua’s averages in the 8 non primetime games he fully played in last year:

    311 yards

    2.5 TD 0.5 INT

    69.8% completion

    117.3 passer rating

Stats in the 4 non primetime games:

    237.5 yards

    1.25 TD 0.75 INT

    54.2% completion

    85.7 passer rating

This year’s stats in the 6 non primetime games:

    325.2 yards

    2.7 TD 0.83 INT

    70.3% completion

    114.3 passer rating

    3 primetime games:

    219.3 yards

    1 TD 0.66 INT

    66.7% completion

    88.9 passer rating

Now those stats aren’t solely on Tua as we tend to deal with more drops, more penalties, and worse playcalls during primetime too. It’s just annoying that almost every time when we have a national audience, we put forth our worst product on offense.

The best performance was against the Bills in the snow game where we put up 28 in a loss, but even then Tua’s performance was below his average statistically (234 yards 2 TD 0 INT 56.7% completion, 104 passer rating.)

It’d be nice to finally see a “WOW” performance from Tua and this offense during primetime instead of us shrinking.

McDaniels calling a 4d chess trick play with Tua in shotgun on 3rd/4th & 1. Happens way too often and drives me crazy.

Jason. Mother fucking Sanders. He’s been consistent this year, but was assssss last year. Which wouldn’t be a problem had he not been so incredible years prior. I don’t think I’ll ever get back to the point of him having my complete trust. He’s lost it completely and now I pucker my butthole after every touchdown because I don’t know what Sanders we’re getting
