He adds to that 51% by holding the ball too long. When he does have time he does nothing with it. You can 100% say the line hasn’t been great while also saying Zach stinks.

You guys are regurgitating the same excuses for Zach that you did for Darnold. We have eyes, we can all see that the kid sucks

Darnold had some pretty good games including his first one in the NFL. Best Zach can give us is 2 quarters.

And all those guys listed have or had a what level career in the NFL. The point is to move on.

The problem is that we take a lot of pressures, and ALSO have a QB with a high “Pressure to Sack %”. Zach’s P2S is 7th highest in the league at 22.8%. Only guys like Aiden O’Connell, Daniel Jones, Sam Howell, Desmond Ridder, Ryan Tannehill, and Russell Wilson are worse this year. So when your line is giving up the most pressures, AND you have a QB with a high P2S%, you end up with a ton of sacks.

Here are guys with the lowest P2S% numbers: Mahomes (9.4%) & Allen (11.0%)

Isn’t there a way to beat this though? If you’ve got pressure every other play, shouldn’t the response be to throw a ton of check downs to Breece or the TE?

You do that, all of a sudden the defense can’t blitz as much and then the pressure reduces.

obviously, Zach holds onto the ball toooooo f’cking long… and obviously, holding onto the ball too long results in sacks and high pressure rates.

Im actually a Zach Stan (idc flame me) but I’m curious if anyone knows how pressures are calculated? Since Zach holds onto the ball does that mean any pressure during that time counts?

Um yeah Burrow hasn’t had an offensive line his entire career. But the truth is, Wilson shouldn’t have been the backup entering camp. He should have been the 3rd stringer so that he could truly sit and learn. Man, super bowl defense, good coach, good offensive skill players but no QB. Wasn’t this Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez? Or the Bears during the Lovie Smith era?

Any way you think they contain Crosby and the raiders pass rush? They had 8 sacks last week as well against the Giants.

He holds the ball way too long. He held the ball way too long against the giants when he fumbled, and on Monday night when bosa stripped him.

It’s pretty obvious he is a bad QB.

The longer you hold onto the ball the more likely there will be pressure. Zach’s addiction to holding the ball for 10 seconds and taking sacks on 3rd down cannot be ignored.

The fun thing about football is everything is intertwined and every unit influences the others. Zach is bad. Yes. The line is bad. Yes. Zach’s performance also makes the line statistically worse. Yes. The line makes Zach’s performance worse. Also yes.
