Title.

I saw a lot of people bashing him for last performance. But he was just coming out of injury.

Is he really that bad that he has no place for averaging 20-25 minutes on a contending team?

I think once healthy he can still guard all 5 positions and bigs who can hit open threes are still of a great value and not that easy to find.

Time will tell but I think it is too early to dismiss him.

I mean he came into the season healthy and looked like a shell of his former self and that was after already showing signs of decline last season.

Also trying to imagine maxi guarding 1&2’s is baffling me. I can see him guarding 3-5 but not guards

At one point last night, he was wide open at the top of the key and passed to THJ who had a defender on him. That can’t happen for a supposed stretch 4-5

People like to use the PF excuse for Powell, but it legit applies to Maxi. As a bench PF fifth option for 10-15 minutes, he can still have impact especially given our lack of size at the wing. But if we have to rely on him for 20+ minutes at C we’re in trouble.

But he was just coming out of injury.

He is always coming out of injury, and at this point in time aging + his broken body, yeah he is washed.

Is he really that bad that he has no place for averaging 20-25 minutes on a contending team?

Absolutly. Even a healthy, younger Kleber would struggle to find 25 minutes on a contending team, let alone this washed version.

Yes, you better trade the man before he has no value at all

It is noticable he’s half step slower in both O and D

Its a shame bcs he has the rarest archtype in the league, but its over. Injuries and age catching up to him

I think he was like a jeremy Lin type. At the right age, right team and scenario he looked good, but a few years of injuries and young talent getting better he’s about aged out at 31. He had a good run and was a team guy, nothing wrong with that

Yeah, IMO it’s too early for the final verdict on Kleber, but it’s certainly not looking good.

maxi is somewhat infuriating because he will have stints of great basketball and could legit be a good role player on a title team. But if he misses even 1-2 games it’s like his rhythm is completely off and needs another month or so to hit his stride.

He’s not bad he just doesn’t fit anymore. The only reason he’s still here is he’s tight with Luka

No, people just overreact too quickly to a few games.

Time will tell. If he isn’t playing lockdown defense in our 1st round playoff series, then maybe the worry is warranted.
