Yep. Just no minutes for him sadly. He’s going to blow up when he gets minutes on the next team and we’ll all wonder why we traded him.

So if you pay reasonable electric rates an EV that’s about $17k more expensive will net out to the same as a petrol car after 100,000 miles ignoring other cost differences like incentives and maintenance.
The problem is once you drive an EV you realize there really isn’t a “same” ICE version.
Kia/Hyundai will be happy to advance their global EV position.
What cars, outside luxury cars with some wood accents, have anything other than plastic interiors?
Really boils down to 2 things.
Performance. Instant torque and faster than any ICE I’ve owned despite the EVs I’ve had not being the fastest out there. One pedal driving, Incredibly smooth ride. Just love it.
Never stop at gas stations. Sure, charging on road trips takes longer (though my EV6 is pretty great there too), but eliminating weekly stops at gas stations has been awesome. And despite EVs being more expensive than an ICE alternative, I’m not subject to gas price variance and the cost to refuel is significantly cheaper.
This sub has a fetish for OG and yet continuously posts trades which offer less than they believe his value would be to the Mavs. If he’s the answer, be willing to start at 1 first round picks with 1 current high value rotation player and 1 prospect.
Lively is that guy, 7.6 REB so far his rookie season. Sometime over the next 2 seasons his average will be 10+.
Yes and no. Overall demand falling will lower prices initially, but at some point it will become much less profitable to make gas and the supply chain will condense and consolidate in turn increasing prices. Basically, supply should scale to demand.
I’m no fan of Kidd. But the issue last night was less about timeouts but the fact we were up 20 jacking 3’s. Up that amount is when as a coach you push the ball in the full court and look at a fast break easy inside bucket and slow the half court game and again look to score inside. Live/die by the 3 drives me crazy.
There was one absolutely illegal screen where Holmes was “screening” with both hands under the basket clearing out a lane. But I’ll take that all day over Powell’s absolute ineffectiveness.
So nice to see Holmes still.has some gas I’m the tank.
Bench looks so different with Holmes in over Powell. Finally.
Don’t get a Leaf. Even the newest 2nd Gen was outdated on launch. Saying this as a former Leaf owner. They are solid around town cars…and that’s it. Efficiency is very weather dependent more so than most EVs and charge slowly using a dead connector. Even in the highest end new model, any highway trip longer than ~85 miles roundtrip isn’t going to happen without stopping to charge or driving well below 55 MPH.
I feel we are likely to be active at the TDL.
California is way, way, way ahead of the rest of the country with around 25% of new cars purchased being EVs vs 6-7% for the rest of the country. That said, I live in Texas in a pretty conservative suburban area and there’s more EV’s on the road than I can count. I’d say on busy streets, consistently at least 3 of the cars stopped are EVs (myself and 2 others). On my street I have an EV6, one of my immediate neighbors has an ID.4 and another a few houses down a Leaf, around the corner a few Tesla’s and a Mach E. A friend of mine just got a Ariya.
Nico made some solid moves this off-season…but Maxi as our only real big wing was short sighted. Gotta have a big wing in the rotation playing a significant rotation role. IMHO…moving THJ now is probably the highest value option we have.
Powell really needs a demotion to 3rd string. Holmes needs to be playing 2nd string minutes. Either he works as an interim solution or raises his trade value enough to get one.
Maybe, Caruso is a much better player but has significant issues staying healthy and at his age that’s not going to improve. We’re playing Green more as a 3 due to our depth at guard where his motor allows him to play a little bigger than he is and I’m not sure we’d get the same level of energy from Caruso. Basically…I’d see Caruso as more of a Exum/Hardy but bigger minutes replacement than the role Josh Green is playing.
I’d suggest they time machine this shit and let Powell go to sign Biyombo. Problem solved. No team is taking our trash for a better player period. THJ is our most valuable trade asset at this point, a trade of him for a decent backup C and a depth option PF is the most realistic situation you can hope for.
Teams that run the floor are going to give the Mavs trouble all year long.
