Am I the only one who feels like this? I’m talking about our plain blue and silver uniform with the no-logo-ass-havin helmets. The one that’s so generic, it could be used in an insurance commercial without you realizing. I don’t want to hate them but after some thinking, this is why I do.
I think any decent alternate jersey meets one of the following criteria:
- It’s new.
- It’s old, but looks awesome (Bucs).
- It’s old and looks terrible, but is in your face about it (Steelers).
The Lions throwbacks don’t suck because they’re atrocious, they suck because they’re boring and we have to see them Every. Single. Year.

I love them. I wish they were our regular Thanksgiving uniforms. I hate that we’ve worn the all gray for the past few years on turkey day.
They are fine but not my favorite.
My favorite is the hypothetical, long awaited Dan Campbell era BLACK uniforms which I am positive will happen eventually (please)

They are incredible! Never change.
Liked them during the ‘94 season when all teams wore throwbacks all year. They’ve grown stale but OK once per year because our alternate all grays are so bad.
Can’t wait for new unis next year.
I actually prefer them to the grey color rush, but I’ve always hated those.
I like the simplified look tho, I think its sharp.
The throwbacks are on the bland side, but I understand and appreciate the history and idea behind them. I like them a lot, but probably wouldn’t want them as our full time uniform
My wife said she thought the grey uniforms looked like “dirty pajamas”.
The Throwbacks are great. Those with the new blue helmets would be sexy!
