Title of the post kinda says it all. I’ve been silenced for using swears before and I just think it’s a little weird. Especially since they’re the less “sweary” swear words like “damn” and “hell.” One person I know got their log back (ig you can request a log of the chats you said that were “bad”) and got in trouble for things like “ball (which is relatively innocuous)” and “HELP ME PLS”
It just doesn’t quite make sense to me. The characters swear, we’re shooting people and killing them, but we can’t use the baby swear words lol?
2 reasons:
False reports (because you pissed a group off for whatever random reason they choose. So they all report you for abusive chat, which is the first option when reporting)
Specific usage of words (for example, Junker Queen can say “Beat me? Like hell you will!” Because it’s not being directed in a toxic manner. But you saying “Go to hell” to someone is directed in a toxic manner. So while the word is the same, the meaning, context, and tone can change it)
Even if it’s directed towards someone, “go to hell” is something nobody should be banned for. Any competitive game that exists has shit talk. I’ve seen the most vile disgusting stuff on this game and THOSE people need banning, I’ve been silenced too and it’s purely because the only time I ever use chat is to clap back at toxic people. The system is just stupid and seems to ban innocent players more than guilty
I’ve never gotten a mute, so I’m sure you say a little more than just “damn” or “hell”. I think what you said and the way you say it matter a lot.
For example, if you said “Damn you all to hell!” And people report you for it…you deserve it. If you just say “damn that was a good dva bomb”, no one is likely to report you and therefore no punishment.

that’s people abusing report system. but i don’t agree that u should be able to swear anyway, bc it’ll mostly be used by toxic players. the characters are fictional, and have no consequences on swearing at each other.
Because usually the people swearing in the chat act like rage babies and are more immature than the characters in the game. Lol
