I’m a panthers fan so yea I saw the shitshow that was last night. We’re 1-8 and I need to know how did y’all cope with Trevor’s rookie season with a new HC. How did you tolerate 2021?
You should see how we celebrate first downs- little victories become important when that’s all you have to celebrate.
Frank Reich is not inspiring and you have given your QB zero weapons to utilize. You need an impactful off-season which means hitting on a couple target FAs and nailing the draft. Lord knows we whiffed on this formula for almost 20 years. Good luck.
Cope?! Urban still haunts me /s
It was pretty irritating to be honest. I really wanted to just be all-in on Trevor and support him/believe in him being as good as everyone said he’d be. I had to stop listening to our fans and other fans who were trying to jump all over him and immediately declare he was a bust.
At times, I wondered myself, but I didn’t want to jump on the anti-hype train. So yeah, I don’t think there’s a great answer. It’s just hard because you won’t know. it is frustrating to watch other fandoms shit on y our team and your QB, too, but it’ll be more satisfying if you guys turn the corner and he turns out good.
Also, I saw the stat they showed on TNF. He’s in good company as a #1 pick having a struggling first season. All those other guys on the graphic with him turned out just fine.
One thing that helped was that all the other qbs in the 2021 class looked dogshit too. So at least we didnt have the ‘oh we shouldve drafted that other guy’ noise that yall will have with Stroud
I didn’t take it seriously. It’s just a game.

Being a Jaguars fan I learned not to get my hopes up. Just enjoy the actual game.

Everything was new in 2021 in different ways. New coach, new QB , new players in general which meant new plays, new rules, etc. It would take time for things to click.

I hate when we have a horrible season but we get a high draft pick. Things balance each other out.
Don’t give up on your QB yet. Everyone always has wild expectations from a number 1 draft pick. Let him get experience.
