What kind of numbers would he have to put up? Win/Loss record?

Superbowl, homeboy!
Also, consistency of production.
Win out
Not stats, but system. Can he play the way KOC wants him to play at a high level? If so, then he will earn himself the starting job. Look at 49ers, Kyle wants simple balls providing Purdy with simple reads. Trey Lance is a guy that wants to make a “splash”. That’s where the disconnect most likely was.
Keep winning I suppose
Win out.
When the trade first happened, an AZ fan chimed in and said the Vikes would have their ups and downs with Dobbs and that he giveth and taketh away. Admittedly, it’s way too early to judge, but I feel like he’s destined to be a backup, and that long term exposure will prove that out.
Get KO’s blessing.
Play well in and win a playoff game.
We’d still draft someone.
Honestly, it would take a deep playoff run for me and he’d have to pass the eye test every step of the way.
If you’re asking what I’d want to see for him to be the uncontested 2024 starting QB, probably a mastery of the offense and a feeling like he’s winning sustainably. I don’t know exactly what that translates to, but at the very least it would be limiting turnover worthy play and being productive through the air.
The bar’s a lot lower if you’re asking what he’d have to do to be the bridge guy to man the ship until an early round rookie is ready to go.
Why does he need to do a deep playoff run when Kirk has never done that?
Win the super bowl tbh
practice on Tuesdays ^do ^I ^have ^to ^put ^/s
He’d have to win us a playoff game or two. It would show that Kirk is replaceable with someone who can take advantage of the weapons around him. Then he’d have to sign a very reasonable deal to free up money to improve the defensive talent.
I mean if he just had one playoff win, he would tie Kirk’s total.
He needs to be consistently good. He doesn’t need to win every game much less win every game by himself but he needs to show he can sustain high quality play week in and week out.
