Every account starts off with honor 2, its ranked ready. If you behave badly, you automatically lose honor anyways and you should not be allowed to play ranked until its back up to honor 2.

Having punishments of having to play normal games or win normal games does nothing, because people are still toxic in normal games.

Instead of doing all these incredibly bad ping changes, just try it out for 1 split next season and see how the data or the people respond.

I see 0 negative reasons for why ranked should not be honorlocked. You dont lose honor from 1 game of being toxic, unless you are EXTREMELY toxic in that one game.

You dont lose honor from being spam reported, unless you type something in chat to trigger the system.

I am tired of only having 3 missing pings, just because Slippin Jimmy could not keep his mouth shut. At this point you are trying to lose your core playerbase, to protect 5% of people from another 5% of stupid people.

Riot just needs to make it if you get reported for toxicity, your IP gets banned from playing against humans for 20 games. During those 20 games with bots do nothing but ping you and say in chat what got you into this position. You can’t mute them or block the chat.

Here’s another suggestion. Make a toxicity queue that these people play into. In this queue you can’t mute chat or pings and you have to win x amount of games to get out and each time it increases by x amount.

Then on a website create a toxic queue tracker that shows how many games a summons has played in the queue follow by their wins, loses, and how much more they need to play to get out.

Also allow people not locked to the toxicity queue to specifically queue up if they want to throw games without recourse.

as someone who is constantly honor level 0, i dont mind if this became a thing. it would actually legitimately dissuade me from being toxic

I don’t think Riot will apply that cause they know 60% of playerbase is honor below 2 since it’s very easy to drop the honor level now days and climbing back to honor 2 will takes months

You dont lose honor from 1 game of being toxic

Bullshit. The automated system has caused so many chatbans over nothing reasons it’s not funny, and when that happens, your honour drops to 0

The 5% of cringe snowflakes who need to be protected from “toxicity” like you said should just be taken out back and shot. They have no value. Then, Riot can focus on fixing actual issues like inters and AFKs for the rest of the human players.

There are other ways to reduce toxicity.

You could be very direct, like I heard an EA game (dawngate) did. Basically you need to level and you can only do so by staying clean, so to speak. If you are toxic your growth slows down or even gets set back. This is relevant in that it also impacts your power level. The way I understood it, if you are underleveled, you do less damage or something like that.

Apparently it worked pretty well in reducing toxicity.

It’s a good idea, you don’t even have to be positive to get honor level 5 you just need to not type dumb shit in chat.

Another good idea is that caedral suggested is making it so you get access to more pings as you get more honor level, so people at honor level 5 would have very ease restrictions compared to lower ones. you could also make it for 4 or 3, point is making it so lower honor level can spam ping less.
