Am I the only one tired of JB getting disrespected in this sub ? One or two bad plays in a row it’s we can’t win with him this team won’t go far with him we’ve been to the finals with him and Tatum with JB playing better than Tatum but now all of a sudden all the past woes is cause of JB

This sub can be so toxic it’s borderline unusable as someone who has used it for probably about 10 years. People were whining and wanting the coach fired and saying our offense was painful to watch etc. because we barely lost a road game to a really good team.

This sub is full of complainers. Even after wins its usually main posts of nit picking instead of enjoying the game.

Yeah def but you gotta understand every fan base has toxic fans. They’ll love JB when he goes crazy especially like he did in the finals and will blame him for everything when things go wrong like last season ecf

He’s too good to make the mistakes he makes. He’s too good to get tunnel vision and everyone in the court knows he’s not going to pass it… JB is as good as they come when it comes to scoring! Don’t be the reason we lose leads or lose games!!

Games here in Oz start mid-morning so if Im working and check result during work and see it’s a loss, I’ll check this sub out and read all the bad hot takes and negative rage posts and then watch the game and chuckle at how much of an over reaction it always, always alllllllways is

Me too but I am not paying too much attention. Last night JB lead the bench in the third when we were way up against Nets. This sub instantly blame Joe after a small run from nets about “putting that lineup out”. Like when he will rest Tatum and keep KP, Al and Jrue fresh if not while we are being up against Nets in the third in a first night of a back to back? They just don’t care or paying attention. Another example is our very first game this season: Jaylen is the one who got back a lost lead in the third with bench again, he was the one constantly trying to feed KP and he finished the game with one of his best assist turnover ratio and this sub kept talking about his bad first game for a week after the game. Most in reddit can only interpret the game by looking into the box score and have no idea how to put those numbers into context and somehow still refusing to let those numbers go and enjoy the game. Ah, and “the game” is usually about this or that player, some lists among them and finding scapegoats is a part of that internet game.

Brown is overpaid. The CBG set this up. With that said he is still very good and the C’s had to pay him. It’s complicated. He is a class act, need to just move forward as a fanbase and enjoy.

To put it bluntly, Jaylen is capable of great things. He’s a liability when it comes to the important crucial moments that decide whether you crash out of the playoffs. When everything is clicking he does great things.

Being the best team in the league in the regular season is not this team’s issue, but winning the title is. And when it matters the most, he’s absolutely awful and makes the team worse around him. Those same glimpses are shown very often in his game this season, so people don’t expect anything to change come playoff time considering it hasn’t changed the last 4-5 years either.

Jaylen is not playing better than Tatum by any means. Jumping high and with energy might seem attractive to you but he doesn’t do those things in a Game 7 of Eastern Conference, or in the Finals.

If you want people to respect Jaylen, then Jaylen has to respect the team and stop putting himself ahead of everyone else. :)

I see both sides of this. I’ve certainly been one to criticize Brown at times.

I think him elevating his game as a playmaker would really elevate this team to another level. We’ve seen that with Tatum.

We want him to be aggressive, but he just needs to be a bit smarter about it. If he is running into 3 defenders, he’s got to be able to think we’ve got some wide open shots available.

The irony of things is that if Brown passed more he would probably see clearer lanes because people would have to respect the outside shooters more.
