    My dream is to draft MHJ at 3. Then (OT) Round 2. Then sign Winston. Because Winston sucks but he can throw for big gains and feeding MHJ is huge for his development. Winston will also turn it over a lot so we can be at the bottom to take a QB. Let’s build the roster up. Let’s make this team QB proof than let’s get a QB 1-2 years down the road.

    The only FA QB I’d really have any interest in would be Kirk and even then I’m kinda iffy on that given his age+cost+current state of rest of the offensive roster. Everyone else in FA isn’t gonna make us contenders they’ll just lift us from shit to mediocrity purgatory and at that point rather just either go with a rookie or just run it back with shit QBs again and get another good draft pick.

    I maintain that, unless we can get Maye, we trade back for equity, would love to get Alt and then find a way to get back into the bottom of the first and take Odzune.

    Then take what drops into the 2nd at QB. McCarthy, Ewers, Daniels, or Nix; and bring Brissett back to mentor them. I think he’s been more than serviceable across his career, and would have WAS in a similar position to Howell right now, Howell just obviously has the higher ceiling.

    Also think Brissett would have no issue being a mentor and stepping aside after a year if it means he gets a shot to start for a year and a multi-year contract.
