I have decided to just lean into this and root for Kenny and the team. I would prefer to have SB aspirations but that is not possible with the way the Steelers are currently built/run. Great D and ok QB will no longer make deep playoff runs in the NFL. If it worked Titans would have done it a few years ago. They had great regular seasons and even earned a #1 seed. That was with a generational talent at RB. They were eliminated from the playoffs by teams with franchise QBs (Chiefs, Bengals) This is who the Steelers have chosen to be and changing it would take years so I’m just going to root for them every week until they are eliminated.

Crazy, it’s almost like we should support our QBs and hope they get better instead of dogpiling on them and talking about how shit we think they are.

Two things can be true at once… Kenny isn’t the future and we’re winning games. It brings me immense joy that we’re pulling wins out of our ass, but Kenny is a bottom 5 starting QB in the league. It’s not some doomer take to acknowledge reality.

Hes playing okay. Good enough to win for now, but definitely not sustainable. He has this season and two more after to prove he’s a franchise QB.

Unless he becomes an absolute liability and the sole reason why the Steelers lose games, then there shouldn’t be any talk about benching him.

We’re winning games. And the games are thrilling to watch. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to see a blowout steeler win once in a while but these tight games are why I love football. I think what we’re seeing is expected, I’m fine with leaning on our defense while we improve our quarterback and overall offensive play. I like Kenny a lot, the guy took some big shots early in the game and bounced right back up every time. A standout play for me was early in the 4th watching him pickup a 1st down with an 11 yard run. Kenny’s got heart and he’s tough, the rest will come along the way.

Im fairly certain that with Kenny we have the next Ryan Fitzpatrick.
