We’ve got SO much season left and these games we might not even remember come March/April.

But we’re about an 1/8 through the season and Philly looks far better than any other team in the East outside of us. If the Sixers were going to remain contenders, Maxey needed to take that leap.

And oh my goodness has he taken that leap. He just dropped 50. His playmaking looks far more advanced than predicted. Philly has got themselves a lot more serious squad by adding Nurse and subtracting Harden.

About Milwaukee though, their downfall might be their coaching. Just like similar complaints from us last year, you’re asking a lot out of a rookie head coach with little experience with a roster that is ready to compete right now.

Their defense is completely broken and not like what it’s been in years past. Their roster around Giannis and Dame is a good amount of players on the wrong side of 30. I still think Milwaukee will find their rhythm eventually though.

But I am still confident in saying that Philly is a more dangerous team and I’d bet that this is the year they can break that 2nd round hurdle.

As long as they don’t run into us.

The rockets are looking surprisingly sharp this year.

Right now, the Celtics and sixers are the 2 best teams. Bucks are a step below. But they should definitely improve.

C’s blew the Pacers out by 51 points, granted Haliburton didn’t play but that is 51 points. Tonight, Sixers needed Maxey’s 50 to beat the Pacers. I mean, the Sixers are a good team but the C’s will kick their asses in the playoffs.

Sixers beat the C’s without one of their best defenders in DWhite, and they only lose by a single possession, not to mention that they almost send it to OT.

At the end of the day, the Bucks are still the Celtics biggest threat. The Bucks will figure it out believe me. One stretch of 10+ winning streaks from them, boom they are #1. I think law of averages will hit Maxey some time, he is just having a hot streak, coaches are studying how to defend him as we discuss this.

Yeah. It’s called forcing him to his left. NBA coaches don’t really do shit in the regular season. The coaching really comes in the playoffs. I feel like Sixers always start hot, and this team is not as talented as Sixers teams in the past. Bud is gone so Bucks might be worse in the regular season but might be better in the playoffs. People really shouldn’t over think this. Small sample in the Regular Season.

I got downvoted to oblivion when I said they might be better without harden. Now they play with more pace and the ball moves more with maxey. I still like us better but I think they’re clearly at least the 3rd team in the east

    • I hate to say it but the refs gave it to them when we played them
    • Similar to use, they’ve had a very cupcake schedule so far
    • Against better competition the lack of Kelly Oubre will unfortunately have a serious impact on them
    • Against the Pacers, their bench gave them nothing. Maxey doesn’t go 7/11 from 3, and they probably aren’t winning that game… He’s a good career 3pt shooter at about 41% but that’s 63% that’s not sustainable
    • They’re trending towards the top of the league in terms of home games played with 6 out of the 9 games played.

Late November they have @ Minnesota and @ OKC, @ New Orleans, and @ Boston and outside of that they have a pretty cake schedule until January.

Anyways, my point is that they’ll revert to the mean and so will the Bucks.

F the clippers for taking James Harden. Now their bench is better than us, but our starting 5 is still better. With that said, I won’t sleep on Miami as well. They will always give us a hard time no matter where they are in the standings. Bucks doesn’t look good but there’s still early.

It is definitely too early. Over the course of a season, lots of teams have amazing 10 game stretches. Same with players. Don’t be a slave of the moment.

Why? So that the Celtics meet the Heat in the ECF 3 years in a row?

The Sixers and Bucks could build a time machine, go back to 1992, bring the Dream Team to present time, and split the talent evenly amongst themselves, and I’d still be more afraid of the Heat.
