I have always wanted to get Season tickets. That was the first season a friend and I were finally able to. I was 13 rows up in that endzone for that game jumping around like a little kid when that catch was made. Such a great feeling in what was not a great season as a whole.
To see where we are now from that day forward, I still just can’t believe it!
Ah yes, I remember this well. I was so frustrated at the time because I wanted us to secure our high draft position by losing. To me, this is the day that everything changed. I realized for the first time how important it was for our losing team to just get wins under their belt. So much so that when we played Green Bay at the end of last year, and knew we couldn’t go to the playoffs, I wanted us to kick their ass on the road for what it would do for our team moving forward. I’ve had so many years in my life being angry if the Lions won when they were so shitty, we needed those picks. I was wrong, and it’s so thrilling not to be looking at NFL tankathon these days to look at our draft position!
