    No your not wrong. The org decided that a DE for the future was more important than a TE or another position that could help us this year. I understand what they’re attempting to do. The problem is that this year’s team has holes. A pass rusher off the edge is one of those holes, outside of trey we don’t get a lot pressure. Murphy isn’t ready and ossia seems to still be limited with the preseason injury. Was there a more pro ready edge late in the first or maybe a 3t? Idk I can’t remember? I know there were two good TEs tho

    Trey Hendrickson had 2 sacks his first year. He had zero his second year.

    Maybe we let him marinade a bit.

    This would be less of an issue if we used the 12M in cap space on the holes in our roster.

    No, I wouldn’t say you’re wrong. When he was coming out, I honestly thought his natural role would be as a 3-4 linebacker. He’s a bit undersized for a DL, but he might be effective if you moved him around Unfortunately, that doesn’t really fit what we do on defense
