7th overall pick getting 6 minutes in a blowout opener seems a little concerning…

Yes it is very concerning especially when Derrick Livley looks not only day 1 ready but polished. Don’t let the sub gaslight ya. This is not an overreaction. We may have just drafted another Bender.

Yea it sucks because I want to see him develop but this just means our team is good where we don’t have to give our lottery pick meaningful minutes

Yeah pump the brakes my guy. Team was shooting over 50% from the field and over 40% from deep. Not sure there was a guy in the rotation having a full blown off night. Let’s wait a couple weeks and see how much playing time he gets when guys are tired/struggling. He’ll earn his time then.

Team has crazy depth. No matter who they took with the pick they would probably have a tough time getting minutes early. Injuries will happen and he will get his chance to show his full game before long.

If this team is truly competing for the 6-8 seed, there won’t be a lot of minutes for him. He’ll have to spend some time with the Mad Ants, which isn’t a bad thing, considering he’s 19. Get him some reps with pros this season and he’ll develop his game.

There are worse situations to have than your depth being so good that a lottery pick is only getting garbage time minutes.
