So I have a bit of damage on my G31 (530i). It is the trim strip at the rear bumper that needs to be replaced. It will be a painful €80 for a simple piece of plastic. I was looking for after market, or second hand / junk yard replacement parts but I couldn’t find any. What I did notice is that all the scrap parts available are from a G31 with an M sport pack (which have a different rear bumper). Mine only has a sport line pack, which I deliberately chose because I find the M sport pack on a large family car (in white) quite tacky.

So I was wondering if it’s me who has no taste. When would you NOT choose for an M sport pack?

There is certainly a difference between M models and just M pack. I personally like the LCI g30 with M pack, but on wagons both M pack and standard/mid trims look kinda similar to me.

I know many people that order high spec options and still opt for non-M outside.

But as I owned several BMWs - the M-package has some very nice details inside like the black headlining and the steering wheel ( which I believe still can be individually optioned in most models).
