The OTS is definitely inferior in terms of performance. The reason for that is because it’s tested on multiple cars and need to work well on cars in different condition, hence - it’s designed to be safer/easy on the vehicle.
I’d also consider the OTS the safer options.
I’d get rid of the run flats and get a tire repair kit (compressor + the tire foam/glue spray). Non-rft ride better and is easier fix compared to moding the suspension.Alternatively you can drop an inch on the wheels (but ruins the looks).
Summers do decently on dry cold surface, but its still a gamble if you have temps around freezing. Even without snowing there can be moisty mornings when the road is slippery.
I’d go with the spare set for the winter - you can always sell these later on. Optionally - all-seasons when your summer set is due for a change.
What wheels you got on it? Wheels are always a great mod and change look drastically. Maybe not now, but at some point you will get used to them and it really looks like a new car with a different style wheels.
White M3 is lovely regardless of the type of White.
I have the carbon black 5 series now and all the dust is visible right when leave the car wash… just a pain to maintain. The “dirtier” white you have - the better, would be way easier to maintain.
I think the mineral white is a great choice. Mineral white, glacier silver - both very cool how they “change” color depending on the light and angle, love it. And also easier to maintain.
Went with catless on my F10 535i… Unfortunately if you daily the car the smell is quite unpleasant (feels like/worse than a diesel). So I sold it and bought catted one.
My personal recommendation is to go for catted high-flow downpipe. There is still some smell, but significantly better compared to catless setup. Works very well on Stage 2, 2+ cars.
If you go all out for 500hp+ mods then catless makes sense. But I always like to think that stock 500-600 M models have cats too, so should not be a problem in general if the cat is right.
There is certainly a difference between M models and just M pack. I personally like the LCI g30 with M pack, but on wagons both M pack and standard/mid trims look kinda similar to me.
I know many people that order high spec options and still opt for non-M outside.
But as I owned several BMWs - the M-package has some very nice details inside like the black headlining and the steering wheel ( which I believe still can be individually optioned in most models).
A good time for all fluids - diff, trans, brake, coolant.
Spark plugs - always a good bet on maintenance - the more frequent change the better.
Belt and pulley usually last up to 100-130k, so you are all set there for now.
