I’m sure 2 years from now Walker will have morphed into his final form but all the same my brain can’t help but wonder what if. Dude looks legit day 1 ready and is the best rookie on the floor right now.

Jarace has had a couple good games too. Personally I value a defensive forward who can pass, it fits the identity of this team going forward. He just has to work his way into the rotation.

Idk but I’m sure Rick Carlisle and his coaching staff know the answer.

Jarace head appears to be spinning. Admittedly it’s waaaay early but he has really struggled in 3 of 4 games and clearly hasn’t performed well in practice since he’s not in the rotation.

I would expect a top 10 pick on a team that has been under .500 to play and develop, so it’s concerning.

BUT, the PF alternative at that point in the draft was Taylor Hendricks and he played 2 mins for the Jazz.

Gotta be calm and hope that J-Walk figures it out.

He’s a PF who was one of the top defenders in the country. It was known that his scoring was raw and would take some time and it looks like they are willing to take it slow and let him develop. Sort of the opposite of drafting a Duarte who was 24 years old and immediately ready to play big minutes. Jarace will figure it out and look much improved by the end of the season. Team has a ton of depth so no matter who they took they probably would have a tough time getting a ton of minutes right now.

Spicy takes after one game are never stupid right?
