I had to look him up because it was a name I wasn’t familiar with. I remember shrugging thinking to myself “Well, I hope it works out. We could use another quarterback.” I did not expect he would do what he ended up doing. Not at all.

A move to keep the locker room invested in the season with a chance to sneak into the postseason, but probably ending on either side of the 8/9-9/8 teeter totter. A low cost move with a chance to salvage some good from the season. I’m glad I was wrong.

I thought it was time to tank, but I’m gonna tell my kids that’s when I knew the Vikings were going to the Super Bowl

Not much, I knew we needed another backup qb on the roster and figured our rookie would play out the year.

Would have extended Kirk last offseason so we have a set path going forward. Elevate Mannion from the PS behind Hall and try to get a high draft pick. Use those high picks to improve our defense. Last thing we need is a QB controversy. Also would have kept Cleveland.

I was optimistic he could make for some entertaining games but not necessarily the playoffs or anything.

TBH I really like Kirk and how he’s carried the team, I was and am a bit nervous that Dobbs’ (or other QBs’) performance may convince Kwesi to not still pursue Kirk next season. I may be an apologist but I still think Kirk’s a top 5 QB and am scared of losing his rapport to someone who won’t do JJ / TJ / JA / KJ right

I didn’t have any faith at all. Still looked to Cousins coming back, maybe doing the same experimental stuff Rogers did

Figured we needed to make a move since we didn’t have real depth at QB, and anything was gonna be better than nothing. I wanted to believe in Jaren Hall and initially when he went down and they brought Dobbs in, I thought it was gonna be rough.

There was a rocky start, but after that first possession or two I was happily surprised.

I watched Dobbs play in Arizona and saw he was not bad. Like he was making good plays and moving the cardinals offense with little to no help rly. I was impressed. When he got traded to us I figured he’d be slightly better in KOCs system but man that’s an understatement. He’s absolutely thriving here
